So I was pretty much crazy in love with this girl. She is amazing. I guess I was, pretty much, too in love with her. Well this put me down in the dumps, because well I thought this girl was “The Girl” for me, and maybe she is. But then I thought, wait I’m only 16 years old, you know, I have so much more life to live. And I’m happy to say that we are pretty good friends, and now I realize I would never want to give up that friendship. No matter what, it makes me happy to have a Great friend like her.:)

Well I was relating this to God’s Love for us. And well Love is a beautiful thing, but it can also hurt. And I was thinking, God’s love for us is greater than anything. I mean he gave his one and only son for us. Now ladies and gentlemen, that is the most beautiful Love there is.

Has something so small, meant everything to you? Well of course, this happens to everyone. And later on we can’t believe that such little things affected us. But we get that way everyday.

For example:

I could be on the court, playing in a basketball game. And weather I win or not, at that moment, it’s all I care about. Right? It doesn’t matter if there are people going to hell, dieing, and starving all over the world.

or

-If the Dow drops tomorrow, that’s all that matters.
-If we don’t win this game, that’s all that matters.
-If I don’t get the raise, that’s all that matters.
-If this person gets elected, that’s all that matters.
-If I lose my house, that’s all that matters.
-If I lose my job, that’s all that matters.

You know, I mean we focus on these small things, and forget about the important things. And suddenly these things become everything to us, and sometimes the best thing we can do is take  a bigger view of life. And not think that one little thing is everything.

So we are going to start from the beginning.

Genesis 1:1
1
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

Okay, so there was a time, when we didn’t exist. Everything was fine, without us.

Genesis 1:10
10 God called the dry ground “land,” and the gathered waters he called “seas.” And God saw that it was good.

So, as God created things, he saw that it was good. Everything was good.

Genesis 1:31
31 God saw all that he had made, and it was very good…

God was saying, Wow, that’s really good. And it says that when God was done on the sixth day, he saw that everything that he had made, and behold it was very good.

Okay, why was it very good?

Psalm 19
1 The heavens declare the glory of God;
the skies proclaim the work of his hands.

In other words he says you as a human being can just look up at the sky, look at the clouds, and look at the stars, or look at the universe through a telescope, and you see this declares the glory of God.

Romans 1:20
20For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.

He says ever since he created this world, his invisible qualities, and his devine nature could clearly be seen through the things made, so men are without excuse. Because what he made is so complex, that no person on this Earth has a reason not to believe in him(God).

I mean you can just look at the stars, and go “Shut up, no way.” How in the world does this work. How in the world do I just live on this little ball, that the core of this Earth is magma/lava fire stuff, and yet the covering is water, and yet it spins and it’s a circle it spins, and we don’t fly anywhere, and we fly around the sun, and all that stuff. And you’ve got these galaxies, that are just going forever.

He says that any human being can look around and go “Wow, this is good, this is so good!”

Like the sun, this ball of fire, that’s 93 million miles away, I mean, Wow, that’s just nuts!

You see, when God created everything, he goes, “Wow, this is really good, and this shows off what I can do, it declares my Glory.”

Now when God was creating this, he does something different, when he creates you and I, when he creates human beings it’s different from the plants and the animals because in Genesis Chapter 1 verse 26.

Genesis 1:26
26 Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”

When he makes man, it says, God says, “Let us make man in our image after our likeness,” Now remember this is the beginning, okay, And here’s God the father, God the son, God the Holy Spirit, and going you know what, lets make man in our own image.

Now isn’t that awesome, that somehow, I am created in the image of God, we are created in the image of God. Now that’s good stuff.

So I am going to challenge everyone who reads this blog. Maybe the best thing we can do is take  a bigger view of life. Just stop, and think about how Great our God is, and how everything on this Earth declares his Glory. Just take a moment, stop being caught up in everything around you, and Just Think about it.

Well that’s about it for now everyone.

Thanks

Peace
God Bless

Rules for Holy Living

1Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. 2Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. 3For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. 4When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory

5Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry. 6Because of these, the wrath of God is coming. 7You used to walk in these ways, in the life you once lived. 8But now you must rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips. 9Do not lie to each other, since you have taken off your old self with its practices 10and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator. 11Here there is no Greek or Jew, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave or free, but Christ is all, and is in all.

12Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. 13Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. 14And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.

15Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. 16Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God. 17And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

For the Past two or three days, I’ve been reading this. I’ve just been trying to fully comprehend what it means. I’ll tell you when I understand it completely, and I’ll explain it.

God Bless

Lately I’ve been reading my Bible, just flipping around reading random verses. Well I flipped to Deuteronomy, random I know, to a story called, The Reading of the Law. In this story I noticed that it said for us to fear God, and well i didn’t know what it meant. So I researched it and I am going to explain it the best I can. I am doing this because maybe if I didn’t understand it, there are probably other people out there that don’t understand it either. So here we go.

The Bible doesn’t say, “Be scared of God.” To “fear the Lord” (Deuteronomy 31:12) means something very different. And very important.
“Fear sharks” means that you don’t go splashing around in the ocean when sharks are near. “Fear fire” means that you remember what fire can do and don’t toss lighted matches around your bedroom. In each of these cases “fear” means ” to have respect for”- to give sharks or fire serious consideration.
That’s what the Bible means when it says to fear God. You give God serious consideration in your life. You have a growing respect for him. Some people don’t fear God at all. They ignore him, as if he didn’t exist. But you’re wiser than that. You’re not scared of God, because you know he loves you. But you do fear him, because you know he deserves all your respect.

Well alright,
God Bless

You will call, and the LORD will answer; you will cry for help, and he will say: Here am I
(Isaiah 58:9)

That’s pretty straight forward, saying, God will be there for us, at all times.

Lately I’ve really been thinking about prayer.

Well this is a little story about what I’ve learned about prayer:

Well I’m confessing, first off, I’ve always prayed, but a while back, maybe about 4 months ago I noticed that I really only pray when I really really need God. I didn’t pray that often. It’s like I would come to God when I needed him, but after everything was alright, I drifted right back away from him again.

But that really isn’t what God want’s us to do, he want’s us to make it a habit to come to him for everything in our lives, he want’s us to trust him in everything that we do. And If we trust God in everything we do, and every decision that we make, we will lead people to Christ and be God’s Light in this dark world.

NOW THAT’S A LIGHT, A GLORIOUS LIGHT, THAT GOD WANT’S US TO BE!

peace

Hello Again,

This is called, Forgranted.

I’ve always known that we don’t deserve anything that we have, what we have is not a must. Everything that we have God has given to us, because God loves us. We are sinners, who don’t deserve anything, but are given everything. This has been heavy on my heart lately. And I have just recently realized this. God is good to us(sinners). We don’t even deserve the air we breath. And we take all of this for granted. It makes me sick, but we all do it. And I can’t stand this. I’m ashamed of myself, and we should all be ashamed.

I hope no one gets offended by this, but it’s the truth. Just thought I would throw it out there.

Alright,

Peace

Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.

John 3:18 NIV

Lately,

I’ve felt like God is telling me something, like he wants me to do something with my Life, do something different. But I really didn’t know for sure, well I thought I knew and I really wanted to, but I just didn’t think I was ready and thought it would be hard.

I think that is what was pushing me away from God. Well this has been over the past month, maybe month and a half. And I have realized, that God is breaking me, so that I don’t have no one else but him, to go to. And I’ve realized that I am ready to do whatever God asks, and I will do it knowing, “God has my back”, and will be there for me. We all have to trust God to be there to catch us when we fall. And now, I know God will be there, to catch me if I fall.

Whatever God is telling me to do, it could change my future, and maybe my Life. I don’t know, maybe God is talking to you?

hmm.. well that’s what I wish I knew, I wish I knew what he is telling me.

Peace,

Dillon
