This is my illustration of what it means to Balance your Faith. You have to balance your connection with God, and Your good deeds.
Okay, well this is what I have been reading about and researching, and asking questions about. What is faith?
What is Faith?
Now in the Bible, it is said that Faith is being sure of what we hope and certain of what we do not see.
“Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.”
Hebrews 11:1My favorite bible verse is 2 Corinthians 4:18.
“So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.”
2 Corinthians 4:18
Faith causes you to know in your heart before you see with your eyes. This is what 2 Corinthians 5:7 says,
“For we walk by faith, not by sight.”
2 Corinthians 5:7
Faith and Deeds
The Bible says that a man who has Faith by itself, not accompanied by action, is dead. It says the body without the Spirit is dead, this is the same with Faith, Faith without deeds is dead. When the Bible talks about deeds it means your actions.
“What good is it, my brothers, if a man claims to have faith but has no deeds? … In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.”
James 2:14-17
A little bit later the scripture says,
“As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead.”
James 2: 25
Hebrews 11:6 says,
“But without faith it is impossible to please God, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.”
Hebrews 11:6
The Bible basically says, for if we have Faith, we will have Everlasting Life with our Lord Jesus Christ. Life has ups and downs with or without faith. This is Faith.
The Bible also talks about Hope, it says, without hope there are no “things hoped for”, and therefore there cannot be faith. I am going to do a entry all about Hope later.
Alright,
God Bless

Rules for Holy Living
1Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. 2Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. 3For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. 4When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory
5Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry. 6Because of these, the wrath of God is coming. 7You used to walk in these ways, in the life you once lived. 8But now you must rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips. 9Do not lie to each other, since you have taken off your old self with its practices 10and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator. 11Here there is no Greek or Jew, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave or free, but Christ is all, and is in all.
12Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. 13Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. 14And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.
15Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. 16Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God. 17And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
For the Past two or three days, I’ve been reading this. I’ve just been trying to fully comprehend what it means. I’ll tell you when I understand it completely, and I’ll explain it.

Lately I’ve been reading my Bible, just flipping around reading random verses. Well I flipped to Deuteronomy, random I know, to a story called, The Reading of the Law. In this story I noticed that it said for us to fear God, and well i didn’t know what it meant. So I researched it and I am going to explain it the best I can. I am doing this because maybe if I didn’t understand it, there are probably other people out there that don’t understand it either. So here we go.
The Bible doesn’t say, “Be scared of God.” To “fear the Lord” (Deuteronomy 31:12) means something very different. And very important.
“Fear sharks” means that you don’t go splashing around in the ocean when sharks are near. “Fear fire” means that you remember what fire can do and don’t toss lighted matches around your bedroom. In each of these cases “fear” means ” to have respect for”- to give sharks or fire serious consideration.
That’s what the Bible means when it says to fear God. You give God serious consideration in your life. You have a growing respect for him. Some people don’t fear God at all. They ignore him, as if he didn’t exist. But you’re wiser than that. You’re not scared of God, because you know he loves you. But you do fear him, because you know he deserves all your respect.
Well alright,
God Bless
Peace

I have a post that I am going to write tomorrow. Right now I am going to read my Bible, something I rarely do. I’m ashamed of myself for the fact that I rarely read my Bible. Geez.
God Bless
